Introduction to avian origin and evolution. Topics include theories of flight, migration, behavior, distribution, and concepts relating to territory, courtship, and mating. Laboratories include field trips to identify local bird species and study their behavior and ecology. Cannot be used as a biology elective in the major. Saturday field trips.
