ART 228 - Contemporary Art

This course introduces students to contemporary art, its issues, and ideas. Students learn make and communicate critical observations and to analyze and evaluate diverse forms of contemporary art by artists from around the world. This course examines the connections between the artist’s ideas and his/her materials and processes, and how contemporary political, social, and/or cultural circumstances shape contemporary art.
