MATH 120 - Mathematics for Teaching I 1 Units
Mathematics for Teaching 1 is specifically designed for students pursuing a career in elementary and middle level education. The purpose of the course is to provide the mathematical background necessary for teaching elementary mathematics concepts, including: estimation, measurement, fractions and decimals, patterns and relationships, number systems, number relations, and number theory. This course will emphasize the development of conceptual understanding, mathematical connections, critical thinking, and problem-solving strategies across mathematics content.
