MCC 610 - Grief & Bereavement Counseling

This course explores the complexity of how people struggle with grief and bereavement. In particular, the course will cover the cultural, emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual dimensions of grief and bereavement across the lifespan. Students will examine current models of grief theory and recovery treatment. Emphasis will be placed on therapeutic strategies for facilitating holistic grief work in counseling.
