MSW 585 - Foundations of Social Work Practice

Advanced standing students will begin their plan of study in the specialization year, taking this course the semester prior to their official start to review and solidify their competencies related to generalist social work practice. This course will revisit the major theories, skills, and interventions underpinning generalist practice to prepare advanced standing students for clinical social work education and practice. Particular attention will be given to foundations of social work practice through the lens of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
