History of Musical Theater provides a comprehensive study of musical theater from ancient Greece to current productions through analysis, reading, discussion, listening, and experiencing musical theater performances. Students will explore the elements of musicals including music and lyrics, book/libretto, choreography, staging, sets, costumes, and technical aspects. Students will examine the societies, historical backgrounds, and participate in creative projects related to musical theater productions. (M6) (PtK:HUM)
