PSY 115 - Introduction to Happiness Studies 4 Credits

This introductory course examines the idea of happiness through the lens of wholeperson well-being, known as wholebeing. Drawing on multiple disciplines - including psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, economics, theology, and literature - the course delves into five key dimensions of well-being - Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, and Emotional (SPIRE). Students will engage with the foundational principles that shape wholebeing, balancing theory with practical tools and techniques designed to support individuals and communities in pursuing and enhancing their happiness.
