SLP 624 - Advanced Linguistic Analyses

This lab course examines language as a system of human communication. It provides students with the opportunity to record, investigate, and analyze language in populations with communication disorders. Specific emphasis on theories of analysis (e.g. Brown’s stages, LARSP, conversation analysis, narrative analysis, systemic functional linguistics) emphasize the importance of interconnections between language, context, genre and the communication partner.
