Business and Society provides a comprehensive introduction to functional and strategic elements of business enterprises in the context of society at large. Analysis of the social, cultural, legal, political, technological and economic environments in which businesses operate are central to the course. Basic accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, production, operations and information systems are introduced. The role of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, globalization, corporate governance, sustainability and stakeholder management are among the issues addressed.

Prerequisite: Freshman and Sophmore Standing
