ANTH 280 - Health In Cultural Perspectives 4 Credits

In Health in Cultural Perspectives, students will gain an introduction to ideas from medical anthropology to explore the diverse ways people come to think about the body, medicine, and healing in the United States and around the world. Additionally, students will examine what determines the quality of care people receive in these healthcare systems, and what practitioners can do to be attentive to cultural differences and inequalities.
Prerequisite: SOC115 - Introductory Sociology OR SOC113 - Cultural Anthropology MILE Requirement: GLO Credit Type Code: Letter Grade TAGS Cultural and Linguistic Competencies
