MATH 101 - Foundations Of College Mathematics 4 Credits

This course is designed to strengthen core algebraic competencies while simultaneously developing the study habits necessary for university-level success. Using the open-source textbook College Algebra 2e (OpenStax), mathematical topics include the logic of equations, linear modeling, inequalities, polynomials, and an introduction to functions. Integrated throughout the course are essential academic strategies, including effective note-taking, test preparation, and metacognitive problem-solving. Upon completion, students will possess both the quantitative skills and the academic toolkit required for further mathematical coursework.
