HLAT 541 - Therapeutic Interventions I

This course explores the cellular, physiological, and psychological responses to injury and healing, with emphasis on the selection and application of therapeutic interventions across all phases of recovery. Students will learn to design individualized rehabilitation programs, apply therapeutic modalities and exercises, ensure patient safety, and monitor treatment effectiveness using appropriate outcome measures. The course also introduces basic pharmacology concepts relevant to athletic training, including medication classifications, routes of administration, regulatory considerations, and patient education.
