BIOL 325 - Human Anatomy 4 Credits

In this system-based anatomy course, students will study the foundations of human anatomy for every major organ system. The relationships between anatomical systems from the cellular to organismal levels will be explored. Students will also compare the relevance of organ system features in healthy and pathological conditions. Learning will be achieved through lecture, class discussions and case study group work. Demonstrations using virtual cadavers, organ dissection, anatomical models, online learning modules, and self-directed learning will take place in the laboratory. This course is intended to address the knowledge areas needed for students interested in the health professions and serves as a complementary pairing to the Human Physiology (BIOL 350) course.
Prerequisite: Biology, Neuroscience or Biochemistry major having completed BIOL 111 or BIOL 266 or permission of instructor. Sophmore class standing or above,
