EDUC 651 - The Hr Leaders As Developer

Examines what happens to educators after they are hired - exploring evaluation systems, professional learning, progressive discipline, tenure, and retention - and asks whether current performance management practices are genuinely developing educators or simply managing them. Students develop operational competence in K-12 performance systems while investigating the organizational culture, belonging, and well-being conditions that determine whether educators stay, grow, and thrive. This course develops HR leaders who understand that building a great workforce is not a hiring event but a sustained, relational commitment to the people already in the building.
