EDUC 450 - Art Ed Lab: Practice, Research

This course will focus on extending and synthesizing learning from previous field experiences and art education pedagogical theory. Students will develop and deliver a student focused art education experience based on their experience developing curriculum in EDUC 345 and 349 and their studio practice. By engaging with peer-reviewed and practitioner research along with reflections on their own learning, students will participate in a professional learning community to develop an Art Education thesis project. At the end of the course Art Educators will present their capstone projects in a public forum. Prerequisites: Completion of all courses in the Education program with the exception of Student Teaching and Student Teaching Seminar.
