HLAT 633 - Head & Face Evaluation & Treatment

This course focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of head and face conditions, including concussion and other traumatic brain injuries. Students will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans using therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and cognitive strategies, while also learning to identify red flags for non-orthopedic conditions. Emphasis is placed on baseline and post-injury concussion assessment, return-to-activity and return-to-learn criteria, and the development of comprehensive policies for brain injury management and stakeholder education.
