HLAT 643 - Therapeutic Interventions Iii


3 Credits

This course explores the principles and clinical application of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques for upper extremity injuries. Students will develop foundational knowledge of electrophysics and biophysics related to modalities such as ultrasound, diathermy, light therapy, and shockwave therapy, and learn to select and apply interventions based on patient assessment and healing stage. Emphasis is placed on designing evidence-based, patient-centered rehabilitation plans that incorporate manual therapy, stretching, strengthening, proprioceptive training, and fitness maintenance to support functional recovery and return to activity.
