MSUC 655 - Eb Interventions For Addictions 3 Credits
This advanced clinical course examines empirically supported interventions for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Building upon foundational coursework in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, students apply addiction-specific evidence-based treatments including contingency management, community reinforcement approaches, relapse prevention therapy, SBIRT, medication-assisted treatment integration, and dual-diagnosis models. Emphasis is placed on case conceptualization, measurable treatment planning, trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, and clinical decision-making grounded in current research.
