This course introduces students to the basic principles and concepts of international law within the context of a globalizing world. It aims to familiarize students with the history and framework of the international legal system, highlighting how key legal principles, doctrines, and practices influence and are impacted by political, economic, social, military, technological, and ecological developments in the contemporary global arena. By taking this course, students will have a better understanding of how international law manifests itself in real life and impacts society and individuals in significant, powerful ways.
