SOCW 350 - Sw Practice With Orgs & Communities

This course engages students in macro-level generalist social work practice with organizations and communities. Using a strengths-based and person-in-environment perspective, students will explore theoretical frameworks, organizational dynamics, community development, planning, advocacy, policy practice, and program evaluation. Students will develop and apply knowledge and skills relevant to working with groups larger than individual/family systems, focusing on organizational, community, and societal change.

Prerequisite: SOCW315 - SW Ethics and Practice AND SOCW320 - ADEISW Practice AND SOCW341 - SW Practice w/Individuals AND SOCW235 - Case Management AND SOCW221 - Human Behav Social Envr AND SOCW210 - Soc Welfare Policy System AND SOCW100 - Intro to Social Work
