This course will focus on laying the foundation for understanding and working deeply within the dancer’s body through proper technique, class approach and energy. The course will include active participation in barre work, center work, and traveling ballet exercises and combinations. The course also will be a continued study of the genre of ballet as an art form. The fundamentals of ballet performance critique, an emphasis on technical proficiency and Classical Ballet vocabulary will be stressed.
