ECON 220 - Money, Banking & Financial Markets

This course examines the role that financial markets play in the business and economic environment and the underlying institutions that either help or hinder the performance of financial markets. We explain how the central banks operate, how the monetary policy is conducted, and how financial intermediaries facilitate the implementation of the monetary policy. We explore the connection between financial markets and the economy.

Prerequisite: ECON 152  or ECON 153   and ECON 154
