EDUC 546 - Identity and Social Practice in Art Education 3 Credits
Students in this project-based course will explore universal concepts such as art-as-activism and research, identity, creativity, culture, and community through the works of contemporary artists, theories, and by making their own work - leading to reflection on their creativity. Students will develop cross-disciplinary skills such as the effective communication of ideas, problem-solving, critical thinking, reflection, recording observations, working with materials, and forming meaning and metaphor.
Prerequisite: EDUC 503 and EDUC 507 , ART 163.2, GPA of 2.70. Credit Type Code: Letter Grade
