EDUC 564 - Curr& Instr:Science 3 Credits
The aim of this course is to inform pre-service early childhood educators in science as a discipline. Students will learn how to make learning science both valuable and enjoyable for young children. Students will begin with an understanding of child development, interrelated math, literacy and science processes. Students in the field experience will use concept exploration design. Students will gain a solid understanding of scientific topics, while they are learning how to implement activities with children using constructivist and inquiry-based methods. Fall. (Undergraduate cognate: EDUC 323).
Prerequisite: QPA of 2.70; EDUC 503 ; F4 science course; passing scores on PAPA or PPST Mathematics. Credit Type Code: Letter Grade
