FIN 342 - Risk Management & Insurance

A survey course covering essential principles, practices, and basic legal aspects of risk management and insurance from the perspective of the individual, the finance manager, and the government. An analysis of the attributes of various alternative types of insurance (life insurance, health insurance, social insurance, etc.) from a risk management perspective will be a central theme of this course. Self-insurance will also be examined.
