Relevant theories of financial management of business organizations, with emphasis on corporate form. Combines theoretical and environmental frames of reference to determine how firms maximize value. Topics include real and financial-asset valuation, risk and rates of return, cost of capital, portfolio choice, and long- and short-term financing decisions.
