ART 125 - Art in Public Places 1 Units
Public space is produced by imagination. How we think of a space and how we direct action to it is how a space becomes public. This course will examine the role of art in public places and introduce students to the professional practice of making site-specific art. We will examine significant public artworks from around the world and make site visits to noteworthy public works in the Lehigh Valley area. Students will gain the skills to create a public work of art while considering a variety of media, taking an interdisciplinary approach, and working collaboratively. (PTK - HUM)
