An introduction to two-dimensional design and color. Students will be guided through a series of weekly projects introducing them to the formal elements of design – line, shape, value, color, and space and the principles of organization – harmony, variety, balance, proportion, scale, dominance, movement, and economy. The course will address both the theory and application of two-dimensional design and color using variety of concepts, media, and techniques.
