This course explores the multidimensional aspects of public health in the United States, with a particular emphasis on social and economic factors that affect morbidity and mortality. Current practices and policies designed to improve population health will be discussed. Public health professional practice is diverse due to multiple cultures, environments, and health care delivery systems in the 21st century United States. Students will gain an understanding of the many fields, disciplines and issues that are public health. (Equity and Inclusion)
