The general objective of the course is to introduce the student to the profession and practice of audiology. This course will provide students an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, the physical properties of sound relevant to hearing and auditory disorders. In addition, the students will be introduced to the concept of hearing assessment, and techniques for hearing assessment. The information will be studied across the life span and across culture.
