This course is an introduction to Czech history and architecture in the context of Central European history, with a minor emphasis on music. This introduction includes the historical origins of the Moravian Church and a subsequent visit to Bethlehem Chapel, effectively its birthplace. We survey Czech history and European architecture before departing on a week-long trip to Prague, where all architectural styles of the last one thousand years are on display.
