The Public History certificate is an interdisciplinary program that explores the theories and methods of producing history and humanities scholarship for general, non-academic audiences. Through in-class study, hands-on skills training, and off-campus internships, students will learn how practitioners create and share knowledge in multiple formats and sites: museums and historic sites, documentary films, podcasts, art installations, archaeological digs, interactive websites, oral history interviews, walking tours, and archives. Five (5) other courses required.
