EDUC 713 - Facilitating School Improvement 3 Credits
Students enrolled in this course will develop a School Improvement Case Study, including a stakeholder analysis and invitation to participate. In addition, registrants will engage in an analysis of school context and student performance data; construct a consensual vision with stakeholder participants; apply school improvement research appropriate to the specific school improvement initiative; explore the alignment of challenges, vision, program and school improvement strategy; and prepare an implementation and critique of an action plan for the capstone project. Please note: A signed statement of approval from the Administrative Certifications Officer indicating your portfolio of work satisfactorily addresses the PDE supervisory guidelines is a requirement prior to registration for EDUC 713. Any standards not addressed in the portfolio must have action plans developed for implementation in the practicum. (Three credits; Summer; Grove.)
Prerequisite: EDUC 667 and EDUC 668 . Admission to Supervisory Certification Program with no grade in certification program of less than a B. Credit Type Code: Letter Grade
